Plymouth group members should take to enhance their job search efforts!

working with ME and the steering committee members we can develop the following:

Identify your entire skill set! Translate your skill set into wanted job targets!

Create your job matching profile in MOSES (Massachusetts One Stop
Employment System) membership account.

Create an MJQ (Mass Job Quest)/mass job bank account. Complete your profile.
Make dispositions happen on the offered job orders (Yes or Not Interested) check these job orders out each
day as part of your normal job search activity.

Create job target activity by utilizing job titles, key words & key word phrases through job alerts
set up in indeed.com &
simplyhired.com. These alerts can be delivered into
your E-mail inbox each day.

Go through the multitude of General e-mail traffic sent to you each
day BY ME to see if there may be a golden nugget that you may be qualified & interested in.

Now that you have all this job target activity coming in you want to
make sure that you have created a GOOD BASE LINE RESUME that you can modify when applying for the positions you
are interested in. Also, to have a good working knowledge of how to put together great cover letters that
capture the reader's attention! You should be utilizing the key words & phrases throughout your
resume and especially in cover letters. Prospective employers read more when they see a mirror image of the
skills and traits they want. It is highly suggested that you attend Resume & Cover Letter, Resume Critique and
Resume Review workshops at the Plymouth Career Center. Also, a great resource that we have in our geographical
area is "One Life at a Time" www.1lifeatatime.org, a FREE resource
based in Rockland that delivers these services too. they do great work in a very efficient manner!

This outstanding virtual networking tool will provide you with a tremendous amount of new networking connections.
The Plymouth Career Center offers it's Veterans the team up job search workshop each and every Monday for 2 1/2
hours which covers both your MJQ (Mass Job Quest) and LinkedIn accounts. We assist you in completing your
profiles and how to navigate in both. We offer a Beginners and Advanced workshop for LinkedIn as well.

We also offer "Sell Yourself" workshops every Tuesday for 2 1/2
hours. This 4 part series is taught by a professional sales trainer. you will develop your 30 second commercial plus your
confidence level in creating appointments through cold calling, talking with hr professionals, staffing recruiters and,
hiring managers will grow exponentially after attending this series.

Attending the Veterans networking group workshop each month will expand your networking connections by allowing you to utilize your
30 second commercial with other vets, your natural allies. This evolution will develop a camaraderie long since lost from your active duty days!
This togetherness in these workshops has been a great incubator for networking! Everyone is looking out
