Thank you CCVI member Dave Pelletier for clearing and mowing yard for WWII and Korean War Veteran in Hyannis. Three hours of great work! On Thursday June 23 Hyannis VA Center and Elder Services called needing assistance with 90+ year old Veteran who could no longer care for his lawn. On Friday Dave emailed he would take care of the yard, which was overgrown. Sadly neighbors and other organizations could not lend a hand. Saturday Dave showed up. spent three hours and restored the lawn and surrounding property. The lawn will be maintained for the Vet this year by CCVI and when needed. Cape Cod Veterans hopes that neighbors and organizations on the Cape, can take time to assist our elderly/disabled Veterans, or for that matter needy/disabled citizens when the need arises.
