CCVI hastily put together two ceremonies on Veterans Day. The first was at Merrill's Park West Dennis, the second was Veterans Park Packet Landing. Wreaths were placed at these sites, Chaplain Watling said the prayers. American Legion Post 197 Commander Yarmouth conducted services at Packets Landing. CCVI & VFW Post 10274 Staff conducted services at Merrill Park. Also present were Amvets Post 333, Korean War Veterans Assn., and Capt. (ret.) Carl Copp from The Maine Corps League who blew taps. Many patriots visited Amvets Post 333/DAV Post 96 Field of Honor at Johnny Kelly Park South Dennis. On Sunday Cape Cod Veterans Inc. held their Annual Veterans Day Concert. A great time was had by all by a filled Concert Room at the Cape Cod Irish Village. Cpl (ret) Vincent Mannion-Brodeur was Special Honoree, Terry O'Donnell sand Dollar Bar was awarded a Special Recognition plaque for his work with our Wounded Heroes.
