Cape Cod Veterans News

It is with regret and sorrow I announce the passing of Founding Member of CCVI Greg Buckley. Greg passed Tues. night surrounded by his devoted wife Nancy and family. Greg was Assistant Director of Entertainment for CCVI. Greg and close friend Director Joe MacDonald, both devoted Veterans, always opened at our events. Rarely a fundraiser for a needy person happened without Greg and Nancy being there to help run them. Greg sang at the Claddagh Inn, Sand Dollar Bar, Chapin's, Sons of Erin, Irish Village, etc. and up and down the South Shore from Boston to the Cape. Greg devoted much of his life to helping Veterans. We enjoyed Joe and Greg as they played together for many years at Giardino's in Yarmouth. Greg, always opened the season at the Sand Dollar and was there every Friday afternoon. Greg, was most of all a devoted family man of deep faith and the epitome of a gentleman. His wit and comedy always shown through. Greg will be deeply missed by his friends and comrades, but most of all by Nancy and his family. Lest We Forget!
