On behalf of the animals at the MSPCA-Cape Cod, we hope that you are enjoying the summer.  The MSPCA-Cape Cod, in collaboration with the United States Marine Corporal Nicholas G. Xiarhos Memorial Fund, has launched a pet visitation program called Cape Wags for Tags, helping veterans on Cape Cod suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, substance abuse, depression, and thoughts of suicide.  The MSPCA-Cape Cod is deeply grateful to the TGC Fund of the Cape Cod Foundation for underwriting this program.  We offer personal visits to veterans and their families on Cape Cod with our animals as well as shelter ‘alumni.’  There are trained volunteers and MSPCA-Cape Cod staff ready to bring a furry friend to a hero in need.  All we need is a proposed date, address, and time.  We understand that participants may wish to remain private about our visits – which we of course will honor.

Please let me know if you know anyone who might wish to participate in this program.

Sincerely,

Mary Sarah
