We were notified by Cape and Island Veterans Outreach of a needy 81 year old Vet. They asked if we could help him with his home which needed Major work. The Vet wasn't home on 9/4 when President Paul Glynn and I visited him. The water heater is minor but a new roof, windows, complete yard work etc. is what's needed. This is far more extensive than the home rehab in Hyannis we did. We need to talk to the Vet and have him file for a VA Veterans Pension, MA Chapter 115 and get a hold of the housing Assistance Corp. CCVI our VFW Post and Brewster VFW Post are on board now. This might be an "All Hands on Deck" mission? The staff will investigate and report to members. As usual no names will be given out a confidentially is a must and he has been vetted.
