 Hello Sir,

I hope you enjoyed the rest of your weekended. I just want to thank you for what you and the cape cod veterans Inc and the VFW did for my son. You have no idea how grateful and truly humbled I was when you guys came down to the laundry mat. It was hard to hold back the tears cause at that moment my stress and anxiety were gone instantly. No one has ever done anything like that for me and I’m the one who is usually helping. If I asked what family I talk to spot me 20 bucks or something they would say no even though I have bailed them all out at one point or another. They treat my son like the black sheep of the family all because of who his mother is and what she has done. Which eats me up inside cause they aren’t like that with my son ****** and it’s wrong. I never care about myself and same goes for asking. I always put them first. It’s been a rough year for him to adjust to a new and much better life living with me and everyone says he is a much happier child. I’ve gone without anything you can think of and even a meal or 2 from time to time. I just want him to be safe and have a better life than I did. I honestly didn’t expect anything would happen cause that’s just my luck. But when you gave me the check and it was for the full amount I was in shock. I was beyond words and filled with joy and even as I type this I still am. When you guys left I called the property manger of the house and can move in this Saturday cause she doesn’t want meto take a day off of work to move. Later that day I picked my son up from his mothers visit and told him we are finally moving and I wish I took a picture of the smile on his face and his eyes were filled with joy as if it was Christmas morning and he gave me a huge hug. You made it possible for me and my son to get out of this S*** hole and I no longer have to worry about it being raided and my losing my son who I have fought for his entire life to get. He will now be in a safe house with his own bedroom and own space with a back yard and great neighborhood. I was ready to toss in the towel and give up on moving out of here. Again you made it possible and I wish there was something that I could do in return to pay you back. You literally saved me and my sons lively hood. There needs to be more people like you and more organizations for veterans like the one you created. We would all be much better off and the 22 a day would no longer exist. I will be at the meeting in a few months and if it’s ok I’ll bring Logan with me to. Here is a picture of him the next day at the bank before we went to give it to the landlord and property manger. They asked him if he wanted to go behind the counter and he was really excited.

Thank you
