Usual busy week for CCVI. Assisted widow who just lost her husband in VA hospital. A check for $1,000 and 3 G's was contracted to fix the bathroom shower and toilet, CCVI will pay that bill. She was so thankful. $1,800 for young Veteran and his son who lived in drug infested building. Now moved into a nice Yarmouth Port condo, Our Finance Officer Horace Thayer rented a truck and took donated furniture to the Vet. Other members also volunteered items. Another Veterans needed $1,800 for mortgage. CCVI agreed.  Another organization donated $900 so CCVI donated $900. On Jan. 16 CCVI President and Founded traveled to Providence Town to the Council on Aging to drop off a $500 so a Veteran can have his electric turned back on. A car CCVI had that was donated was given to a Veteran who needed transportation.Thank you V.P Scotty Martin for getting the car fixed and storing it till it was needed. Jan. 25th at Giardino's 6 PM is Terry Brennan, Joe Mac Johnny O and others for the Annual Jimmy Fund and Wounded Warfighters Group Fundraiser. Many other members are engaged with other work at Hospices, visiting aged Veterans and attending planned Veterans information events. The President Paul Glynn wishes to thank all for their time and dedication.
