Pig Roast at the Sand Dollar was great. Seamus did a fantastic job Pro Bono for us, and the music was sensational. Terry O’ put out some great sides and Muriel’s beans produced some strange comments. 
Walter Reed Trip was inspirational as always, visited member Vincent in the TBI unit. Met with many wounded troops and handed out $50 our CCVI TD Bank Gift Cards. V.P. Richie Sayers brought a personal Letter and Wrist Bracelet from a Golf Star Mother, to a severely wounded Marine, that served with her son at the time he was killed.  Vincent came down from his floor to encourage the young Marine and prayed with him. It was an uplifting event and Vincent inspired the young man to get better. Our Staff member were given a tour of the new USO facility there. What a great place for the wounded their families and the medical staff to relax, have cookouts meet, learn music, computers, etc. CCVI may be planning to sponsor a cookout there in the future. Also met with Walter Reed Society and Quality of Life Foundation, and presented them with checks of $1,000 each from CCVI & VFW Post 10274 Dennis. Certificates of Appreciation were given to Jeff Brodeur, CCVI’s Veterans Outreach Director for our supporters as well as Walter Reed Society Afghans. 
Dennis Selectmen approved  CCVI’s plan to renovate Merrill Park. Brian Everett, Dennis Natural Resources work was great putting this together. There will be 200 inscribed boards that will go out to the sitting area deck, each board will be allowed 22 characters for $80 each. People may donate to have the name of a veteran or loved on these boards. Donations are tax deductible. A downloadable page will be on our web site soon as well as the Town of Dennis’s. Work will start June 18th. All funds raised will go only for the Park, work any funds that remain, will be donated to the Town of Dennis for future improvements at Merrill Park, and the account closed.
Veterans Administration in Hyannis has contacted CCVI to assist Disabled Veteran in need of minor home repairs and yard clean-up. I am awaiting conformation of status.
A $1,000 donation from the Masonic Angel Fund was awarded to CCVI on June 2, for assistance to our Cape Veterans. We are thankful for this donation to help our Cape Veterans.
Saturday June 7th is US Coast Guard Chatham Family Appreciation Day. CCVI members will have a special cookout and shirt to the Chatham Families to thank them for their service. A Special Coffee Table by Dave Collette Collections will be donated to their headquarters. Special thanks to Dennis Public Market, Dave Collette, Bill & Linda at Hyannis Ice Cream (don’t forget they have the concession at West Dennis Beach now), Patrick Trivia Quiz and Peterson’s Market. 
June 9th is our Wounded Warfighters Fishing Trip at Falmouth. CCVI’s Executive Director & Harbormaster Terry Clen has set up this event and the June 7th event. CCVI will team up with the Falmouth Inner Harbor Charters, to bring the most severely wounded troops at Spaulding Rehab. from the Cape & Massachusetts to Falmouth, for a day of fishing from . Cape Cod Embroidery will produce the special shirts for this for every Hero, and each will get a $50 CCVI Visa Gift Card. Each Wounded Warfighter will get a boxed lunch from Lost Dog Pub, and have sit down dinner after fishing at the Boathouse Restaurant.  The Boathouse agreed to cook any fish caught that day, Rob Warren will entertain the Heroes. Both the June 7th & 9th events are closed to the public and media.
June 22nd  is the Sarah Swain and the Oh Boys Concert , donations accepted. The Sand Dollar Bar & Grill, 244 Lower County Road, Dennisport 2PM-6PM. 
CCVI will drop off several $50 Visa Gift Cards to keep at the VA Counseling and Readjustment center in Hyannis so that destitute War Veterans can get immediate help. CCVI is working with the Center to assist a disabled Veterans in Hyannis repair his home and clean his property. 
June 14th, Flag Day at Merrill Park at dusk, Amvets will retire unserviceable US Flags.
