To  all the  leaders, organizers, and volunteers
supporting our 21 Sept Flight!!

I personally thank the peasegreeters.org volunteer group and structure for
the AWESOME WELCOME and SUPPORT we received this past week. Simply
overwhelming to an old guy who came back from Vietnam under very different
political conditions.

Memories abound: the Pentagon star cutout that is now in my wallet, the
stuffed animal, pocket Bible, chocolate, lapel pin, taps, speeches, food,
the well groomed poodle who loved treats, and the great conversations with
veterans and volunteers, over the course of two hours, was simply uplifting.

I have six tours in Afghanistan and the neat thing about spending so much
time there, I have had the opportunity to see my son (face to face) on all
three of his combat tours. Not many parents can say that. I hope that he
gets the opportunity to cherish a welcome home like what I experienced.

With communities like Pease and Portsmouth, the USA is in really good hands.
Your patriotism and love of country was on display in grand fashion.
Unforgettable!!

Besides the gifts and affection displayed by the army of volunteers, you
have created a magnificent memory of the highest order.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen for your support, patriotism and love to
America's armed forces, DOD civilians and contractors.

Respectfully,

Jerome Watson
