On behalf of Freedom Rows Cape Cod, I want to thank the Cape Cod Veterans organization and Massachusetts Institute of Technology - MIT for being the first to donate to Freedom Rows Cape Cod!

This email officially lets the entire Freedom Rows Cape Cod group know the Cape Cod Veterans paid the USRowing membership for Freedom Rows Cape Cod for the first year!  In tangible terms, this means the VA grant for which we were approved is now able to be released for our use.  We had not been able to use it prior to the fee being paid because the grant cannot be used for membership fees - only equipment and regatta expenses.

So here's even more news........

A week and a half ago I received a call Sent from my iPhone

The boat is a Pocock 8+ that MIT's Novice 8 lightweight boys team raced in for the Head of the Charles Regatta this past fall.  Last Thursday I went to MIT and looked at it.  It's in mint condition and we can't believe how perfect it is for our use!  This is a God-send for our program.  A boat like this is a dream to eventually purchase after tons of fund-raising endeavors, NEVER does it occur that a program gets this right out of the gate - donated!
